Staying at the Mercure in Saint-Omer was a delightful experience. The staff exhibited genuine friendliness and patience, especially when I attempted to communicate in French. The Classic Double Room was stylish, spacious, and modern with comfortable bed and soundproofed walls. Breakfast was impressive, featuring a wide variety of hot and cold options that catered to different tastes, while the breakfast ambiance was welcoming. We appreciated the convenient parking options, sitting just a short walk from the bustling town center. On the downside, we faced an issue with ordering room service, which left us feeling let down, especially after a long day of traveling. The lack of attention during this moment contrasted sharply with our otherwise positive interactions with the personnel. Despite this hiccup, we would return, having enjoyed our stay overall.

Lekker stay in Saint-Omer! 🇫🇷
Wow, the staff were just next level! Super friendly and patient with my dodgy French. The brekkie was a proper spread, so many options to choose from—definite winner! Our room had this cute little terrace, perfect for a sundowner after exploring the town.
One downside, though, was the aircon. it wasn’t cutting it, so we had a bit of heat during the night.

The whole story in a nutshell

There were multiple frustrations during my stay. The room service was inconsistent, leaving us scrambling after a long day when we were told it wasn't available despite firsthand observations of passing trays. I noticed issues with the room cleanliness, as the bathrooms felt inadequately cleaned, and the mattress protectors added unwanted heat during the night, making for a less than comfortable sleep. On top of that, it wasn't obvious where to park when unloading, as the primary parking was positioned at the back, causing confusion initially.

Had a blast staying here with my friends! The rooms were modern, and the breakfast had so many options, perfect fuel for our day trips. We explored some local spots and even tried golfing, which was a highlight. The staff was super friendly and always happy to help. Just a heads up , parking is available but can be tricky to find at first.
We had some frustration with the service when ordering drinks. it felt a bit slow at times, which dampened our otherwise great experience.

The check-in process was super smooth and the staff made my family feel right at home. We enjoyed relaxing on the sun terrace with a cold drink while the kids splashed around in the pool. One small hiccup was the lack of variety in the snack options at the bar, but it didn’t take away from our awesome stay! 🌞
